Quegs is a Private school boys only school in Wakefield. Quegs provide a very high standard of Education. In 2006 the ‘A’ Level achieved were excellent, with 47% of all grades were grade A with 75% being grade A or grade B. During the first three years at the school boys aged 11-14 are encouraged to study a broad syllabus with each year group being made up of 5 classes with approximatley 22 boys per class. Subjects are taught by a specialist teacher in that subject area. Trips and Visits out are a major part of life at Quegs. Every year the school offers ski trips, music tours and foreign exchanges. The children who attend Quegs receive lots of support and guidance. This support is usually in the form of the pupils form tutor, who monitors the pupils progress throughout their time at the school. Sport is also a major part of life at Quegs. There are often a number of pupils that chosen to represent Yorkshire. The level of coaching provided by the school is of an excellent standard and there are pupils that often pursue a successful career in Sport when they have left the school.
