Making History – A once in a lifetime opportunity

posted on 17 May 2010

Would you like to play a leading role in preserving the history of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Rugby League Club and Belle Vue Stadium?

We are looking to recruit a team of volunteers aged between 16 and 21 to work on the ‘Belle Vue Stadium….booked and boxed’ project this summer. This HLF funded project will create an invaluable and unique permanent record of the clubs 131 year history at Belle Vue which is to be made available on the internet as well as forming part of a permanent exhibition at the new stadium. The central theme of the project is to record the memories of those people who have helped shape the clubs history as players, fans, administrators and other staff over the last 60 or so years.

So you will have a once in lifetime opportunity to interview club legends such as Neil Fox, Ian Brooke, Johnny Thompson, Willie Poching and John Kear.

This prestigious project will provide invaluable work experience, especially for anyone looking to enter higher education or a career in the heritage industry. Full training for the interviews and guidance throughout the project will be given.
