Wildcats’ own ‘Mr Magic’, Australian centre Daryl Millard (pictured), has been ruled out of Saturday evening’s Magic Weekend meeting with reigning Engage Super League champions Leeds Rhinos at Murrayfield (Kick off 7.00pm).
Millard, whose nickname is ‘Magic’, suffered a leg injury in the league defeat at Hull FC and was not included in the Wildcats’ 19-man squad for the trip to the Scots capital.
Stand off Paul Cooke is also missing with a minor hamstring problem while full-back Matt Blaymire is not yet fit to return to the side.
In contention for a place in the starting 17-man line-up, is hooker James Davey, who had to miss last weekend’s trip to the KC Stadium after suffering a serious facial cut in the Challenge Cup game at Harlequins.
John Kear, the Wildcats’ Head Coach, said: “There were encouraging signs in the game against Hull that we can go to Edinburgh and come away with the spoils against the Rhinos.”
The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 19-man squad is: Damien Blanch, Sean Gleeson, Luke George, Ben Jeffries, Michael Korkidas, Dale Ferguson, Jason Demetriou, Sam Obst, Kyle Bibb, Paul Johnson, Kevin Henderson, Aaron Murphy, Paul King, Tevita Leo-Latu, Dale Morton, James Davey, Richard Moore, Ben Gledhill, Danny Kirmond.
