Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will break more new ground in the club’s history on Sunday when they play their first competitive match in North Wales.
They will be facing Crusaders RL at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground, a stadium they share with the town’s non-League soccer club, in a Round 19 fixture.
The Crusaders were based at Bridgend, South Wales until the start of Engage Super Leaguer XV and the Wildcats will be looking for their first league double of the season having beaten the Welsh club 20-10 at Belle Vue in April.
It’ll be a major challenge for the Wildcats and the journey to the Racecourse Ground is very easily found.
Here are the directions to the ground:-
By car: Take the M62 west-bound, and then at Junction 10 take the M6. At Junction 20A leave the M6 and take the M56. At Junction 15 leave the M56 and take the M53 (Follow the signs for Chester). The M53 becomes the A55. From the A55 take the junction the A483 (first exit) following the signs for Wrexham and Oswestry. When you reach Wrexham exit at the ‘Mold’ junction (A541) and follow the signs for ‘town centre’. The Racecourse Ground will come up on the right hand-side. Allow two hours minimum for your journey.
By train: take a train to Wrexham general Station which is located right next to the stadium.
By bus: take any bus to Wrexham town centre. Head towards the prominent multi-storey car park, turn right along the Mold road and the ground is located half a mile along this road on the right hand side.
