Former Trinity ace dies

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are sorry to announce the death of their former player John ‘Jobie’ Shaw.

Joby played for Trinity and Halifax. He won five caps for Great Britain while a Halifax player between 1960 and 1962 and was a member of Great Britain’s 1960 victorious 1960 World Cup team replacing Tommy Harris for the last two games of the tournament.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats send their condolences to Joby’s family at this sad time.
