Kittens travel in style to Cheer Comp!

posted on 16 August 2010

Last Saturday the Wildcat Kittens had a great day out when they went along to the first ever Super League Cheerleading Festival held at Headingly Stadium.

Other squads including the Leeds Rhinestones, the Bradford Luvabulls and the Castleford Paws also took part.

Organised by Leeds Rhinos Dance Captain Nicola Booth, the festival was made up of different categories for Intermediates, Junior and Seniors and the Wildcat Kittens entered a team into each.

They travelled in style to the competition as Official Travel Partners David Palmer Coaches provided an Old Fashioned style Double Decker Red bus, which was fully equipped with a party sound system and Disco Lights much to the childrens delight.

Projects Manager Sarah said “Allthough I’m not eager to promote competition within our Academy, I was very pleased with how the day was organised and how all squads received an award, so that no teams went away disappointed. Our Kittens did us proud, and I know they really enjoyed watching the other squads perform and they especially had fun on the journey to and from Leeds!”

Enrolment for the September to December term will take place on Wednesday 8th September. For more information please email Development Officer Jodie Travis –
