Wildcat Dolls help charities

posted on 23 August 2010

The Wildcat Dolls are always happy to lend a hand at any event – so when they were asked to get involved in an evening at Kippax Rugby Club in aid of the RFL Benevolent Fund, they of course accepted the invitation and travelled over to the Leeds based club. They were there to entertain the welcome party that were awaiting the 20 group of men that took on a massive challenge in cycling from Skipsi to Kippax in just one day. The Rugby club initially set out to raise money for a new playing kit, which they wear in honour of Linzi Rudge, but after a generous donation of a full playing kit from GR8 Sports, they were able to donate the full total of £2200 which was made through sponsorship and money raised on the night – to the RFL Benevolent Fund.

Earlier that day, the Dolls also went along to Harewood House, Harrogate, to support an event which was being held to raise money for Childline. The girls performed to a packed field in the sunshine, and followed Local Band New Vinyl up on stage.
