Huxley leaves the Wildcats

Wakefield Wildcats Communications and Media Manager John Huxley will leave the club today after a year in the post.

John came to the Wildcats with a vast amount of experience having worked in the media industry for many years. One of the countries leading journalists and Rugby League authors, Huxley joined the Wildcats 12 months ago, after leaving the Keighley Cougars.

Manchester-born Huxley was Media Manager at the RFL from 1999 until 2006 having previously been the Rugby League columnist at the Sunday Mirror andthe Editor of the ‘Rugby Leaguer’ newspaper.

Wildcats Director of Operations Francis Stephenson: ‘Over the last 12 months John has been a valued member of the Wildcats team’ and has improved our communications with our fans and the wider Rugby League public. We are especially proud of the work he has done with Wakefield College and the partnership he has created and this will continue momentum following the investment John has made. On a personal level, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with John and wish him well for the future’.
