Wakefield Wildcats have this week appointed a new projects officer Dan Hardy.
Dan represented the Wildcats U’21s in 2005, but before that he started his rugby league playing career with local amateur club Oulton Raiders at the tender age of 7. Dan is in his final semester year studying for a BA in Physical Education at Leeds Met University.
Earlier this year the Wildcats were awarded £100,000 by Children In Need for a project entitled Give it a try: Aim high. Dan’s main role will be to deliver education and physical activity to children from across the Wakefield District.
This is yet another example of how Wakefield Wildcats Community Trust is at the forefront of delivering Health and well being within the city.
Wildcats Community Trust Manager Davide Longo said: ‘We are pleased to have recruited Dan. He has a vast amount of work related experience and a wealth of knowledge that will add value to this exceptional project.’
Projects Officer Dan Hardy said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining the Wildcats, it’s a fantastic opportunity and I am looking forward to getting involved with the community development aspect of the club and continuing the excellent work the Wakefield Wildcats Community Trust does within the local area.’
