Leon Walker Prediction League

posted on 6 October 2010

For the past two seasons on the RL fans forum the forum members have been predicting results from the super league games on a weekly basis. At the beginning of this season it was suggested the competition be run to try and raise funds for a good cause, with one member suggesting the competition should be named the Leon Walker prediction league.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats supported the competition by offering the winner an adult and junior season ticket for 2011 season. The winner of this season’s predictions competition on the RL fans forum is Andrew Wood. Andrew is a 25 year old life long fan of Trinity, and he has followed the Club since being two years old with his father. Andrew is currently on duty in the Army infantry, of the 1st battalion of the Yorkshire Regiment and has served with them since the age of 17.

Andrew was one of many that helped raise donations to the Leon Walker Trust and this was also generously sponsored by Unison who boosted the total money raised and helped pay for the trophy awarded to the winner.

At a squad builder fund raiser night forum members handed over a donation to Leon ’s parents of £560.00 for them to pass to the South Wales Air Ambulance and Andrew has kindly donated this trophy to Donna and Steve Walker to their memorial of Leon .
