Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were saddened today to hear of the death of one of their long term volunteers Pat Starkey.
Pat, a lifelong supporter of the club, died suddenly on Wedneday afternoon (29th September) she will be known to many as a familiar face at all home and away games and also for her work with Wisca, most recently helping out on the refreshment stall at the Family Fun Day in August.
Speaking earlier Managing Director Diane Maskill said “Pat will be missed by everyone at the club, she was a wonderful lady, so warm and friendly with a sharp wit and a great sense of humour.
Our hearts go out to Pats husband Les and their family at this sad time, Pat and Les were both at the club on wednesday and we are all deeply shocked by this news.”
The funeral service will be held at Wakefield Crematorium on Thursday 7th October at 1pm and then afterwards at Cats, Belle Vue.
