So we got through the Wildcat Dolls Dance Academy Show! All the Kittens put in a great effort to pull their shows together with the help of the Wildcat Dolls and the rest of the Community Team. Daddy Cool even made an appearance in the Junior Show! And Claire, Dan, Richard and Gavyn were on hand both nights to ensure the evening ran smoothly as the audience arrived at the Phoenix Theatre. The Dance Academy, which is funded by the Healthier Communities Fund, has had an exceptional year, with the girls having some great experiences on matchdays, at galas and the shows this weekend were a great way to end the year.

After stealing the show at the weekend, Daddy Cool had to get up early to visit ASDA Wakefield on Monday morning, to join in the celebrations for the men and women at ASDA that had been working their for over 27 years! He had his picture taken, and collected the fruit that ASDA kindly donate for the Chidren In Need Project every week.

DC then had to rush to get to Gawthorpe Primary School to meet Richard for the Controlling Behaviour Assembly. He got their just in time to see all the great children at Gawthorpe, and he’s looking forward to going back their in a couple of weeks time.

The Community team are also excited about the Heritage Project that Davide is leading. Belle Vue Stadium Booked and Boxed which is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund is now in full swing and young people have been actively involved in interviewing Legends of the past including Neil Fox MBE, Ian Brooke and Geoff Oakes. Very soon you will all be able to look at a new Heritage website that will include a virtual stadium tour so we will have the memories of Belle Vue forever!
