Wildcats 5-a-side action!

posted on 25 November 2010

Yesterday morning saw the Wildcats take a trip over to Kirkstall to partake in some ’5-a-side’ fun!

The full first team squad and coaching staff spent the morning completing a team building exercise at ‘PowerLeague’ football centre in Kirkstall. The lads were split into four groups with Luke George, James Davey, Aaron Muurphy and Ben Jeffries stepping up to be skippers of their sides and John Kear taking up the difficult job of refereeing the tournament!

The ‘soccer session’ was included in the team’s schedule to improve flexibility, endurance and speed as well as providing a perfect environment for the new players and staff a like to get to know each other.

The all important final was a red and blue affair with Luke George’s Red Team facing James Davey’s Mighty Blues. After a nail biting game, with a lot of vocal input from the players watching from the sidelines, the reds were victorious after winning 6-2.

The team and staff had a great day and were back at Belle Vue bright and early this morning. For more information , or to book your own 5-a-side game at PowerLeague visit www.powerleague.co.uk.
