Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce that Glenn Morrison will be the Club Captain for the 2011 season.

Glenn possesses a wealth of experience, natural leadership skills and is a greatly respected amongst his team mates. Having made the move to the Wildcats last season, Glenn made an instant impression and showed good form throughout the season, deserving his role as captain.

Wildcats Head Coach John Kear commented, “After much consideration the coaching staff decided to offer Glenn the captaincy as reward for a magnificent on field season in 2010, but also because of the impact that he has on the club off the field aswell.”

“It is obviously a vital appointment not only because of the role a captain plays in the group dynamics of the team, but also because it is the final year of this great clubs tenure at Belle Vue and the person appointed as captain had to be deemed to be suitable in such circumstances, and Glenn obviously is.”

New captain, Glenn Morrison, added, “I was delighted when John offered me the captaincy role. It is an honour to captain such a great, traditional team and I feel very proud that I have been chosen.”

“Along with all the other players and staff at the Club, I will strive to work as hard as I can with our franchise license and I really look forward to leading my team to success in 2011.”

This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
