Daddy Cool unveils new bus service

New bus operator ‘Yorkshire Line’ are pleased to announce that their new 105/106 service which provides a direct link between Alverthopre and Pinderfields, was launched on monday by our very own Daddy Cool!

Daddy Cool unveiled the new service on Monday 31st January in Alverthorpe, revealing that one of the buses on the service has been named after the mascot and will be called theĀ ’Daddy Cool’ bus.

The new services which link Alverthorpe, Peacock and Flanshaw with Wakefield City Centre and Pinderfields hospital offers a combined 30 minute fequency Monday to Saturday.

Yorkshire Lines Technical Director, Chris Waghorn said: “We are delighted to have launched this new service, which will clearly benefit the community. It will provide them with a new direct link to the hospital every 30 minutes.”

Chris went on to say, ” We are proud to be naming a bus after the Wildcats Mascot and would like to thank Daddy Cool for attending the launch. Great fun was had by all.”

Full timetables are now available from Metro’s website, and paper timetables are available in Metro Travel Centres.
