While the head coaches of all 14 Engage Super League clubs are building up for the start of the 2011 season, their most ardent critics and strongest supporters – the fans – have a chance to prove their coaching prowess in the official Engage Super League fantasy game.
THE Official 2011 Engage Super League Fantasy Dream Team has returned bigger and better than ever with the most successful coach at the end of the 2011 season walking away with a cash prize of £5000. There are also chances each month to win £250 in RFL ticket vouchers for the most points scored.
The Super League Dream Team will pit fans against fellow Rugby League enthusiasts, sporting celebrities and media figures in the regular season.
Within a budget of £1.65 million entrants must pick a squad of 17 players (13 of which are awarded points for a range of criteria, including tries scored, goals kicked, try assists, metres gained and clean breaks. Points are also deducted if a player makes an error or is shown a red or yellow card.) Interchange players no longer score under the 2011 rules but can now be used to rotate the squad to cover for injuries or poor performance.
