Dance Festival Success

posted on 7 April 2011

Over 250 children took part in the Heart Research UK Street Dance Festival on Tuesday.

Pupils from Horbury High School, Middlestown, Horbury St Peters’s, West Bretton, Netherton and Horbury Bridge all came along to join in the fun. Children from year 3 right up to year 7 took part and all the classes got to peform their street dance routines at the end.

The children have taken part in a 5 week programme with Dance Development officer, Jodie Travis., where they have worked on creating Street Dance routines to be proud of!

Jodie Travis added; “Every single school was a joy to teach. Tuesday was a brilliant day, the children really did their schools proud.”
