The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce their new partnership with the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
The Wildcats have become patrons of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, along with IT Farm and the Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Members of the Chamber celebrated the new partnership at Saturday’s Cup derby game against Castleford Tigers with Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston and Commercial Manager Martin Hopkins, pictured on the pitch with Executive Director at the Mid Chamber of Commerce Andrew Choi and David Horsman, Chairman at the Chamber.
Andrew Choi, Executive Director of the Chamber said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for the Chamber and the Wildcats to develop a really strong connection. Aside from the commercial benefits, everyone appreciates the lessons that business can learn from the sporting arena.
“I’ll be looking into possibilities for knowledge transfer between the club and local companies in disciplines such as leadership and teamwork. We will also be campaigning loudly to keep the Wildcats in the Super League”
Martin Hopkins, Commercial Manager at Wakefield Wildcats said: “We are really pleased to be forming this partnership with an organisation such as Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
“The contacts and expertise they have will help us promote our club and the fantastic facilities we have to the wider business community.”
The Chamber is holding its monthly networking event at the Wildcats’ ground on 21 July where delegates will hear from Wakefield business-man, Ian Taylor who made a successful bid on the BBC TV show, Dragons Den.
Martin continued: “We are really looking forward to hosting this event at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium and looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”
The Wildcats join fellow patrons and loyal members Wheawill & Sudworth, Eaton Smith Solicitors, Pennine Telecom, IT Farm and the Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
