Tuesday night saw the launch of the Supporters Trust at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The Trinity Bar was packed to the rafters with an abundance of supporters turning up to listen to guest speakers and ask their own questions to match officials, players and executives at the club.
Acting Chairman of The Trust Ian Bramley introduced the evening and outlined the intentions and ideas that lay ahead. Chairman Andrew Glover, Chief Executive James Elston and Head Coach John Kear all gave their support to the trust and thanked all the fans for their continous, solid support to the club.
After a quick break for food, all supporters then had the chance to listen to Andrew Glover, James Elston, Wakefield Express Editor Mark Bradley and Referee Ben Thaler in the first forum session. Fans were updated with all club related news and Ben Thaler displayed a fantastic sense of humour! Feedback indicated that the 200 strong audience found the evening incredibly informative.
There was then a change of panel with Terry Crook, John Kear, Matty Wildie and Paul Johnson sitting in the hot seats. John updated fans on all the team news and answered many of the supporters burning questions. The announcement of Jarrad Hickey’s arrival was given which put a smile on many a fans face!
The entire evening was a resounding success for all that attended, and it was a great step in ensuring the communication between the Club and it’s supporters is second to none. The Club look forward to a long and exciting partnership with the trust.
