Wildcats host Rugby League 9′s a week today

The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will play host to the first round of the ‘Rugby League 9s’ tournament at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium a week today on Tuesday 7th June.

Eleven Engage Super League sides will compete against Halifax, Widnes Vikings, Featherstone Rovers, the British Police and Cumbria in the exciting new series this summer.

Six games will take place at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Tuesday between our very own Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Featherstone Rovers, Halifax and Leeds Rhinos. The tournament will kick off with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats taking on Halifax at 7.30pm and each match will last just 15 minutes.

Supporters can expect a variety of entertainment for all the family throughout the 9s tournament, which  features four weekly rounds of festival-style fixtures played at multiple venues every Tuesday night in June. The round that will be played here on Tuesday is set to be an unmissable evening with four local competitive sides battling it to make it through to the next stages. Details on the squad that the Wildcats will be fielding will be given shortly, keep your eye out on the Wildcats website.

The Trinity Bar will be open from 7pm and a range of food and drink will be available for supporters. Tickets for the first round of the tournament, held here at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium, are priced at just £5 for adults and £3 for concessions and juniors.
