Morrison set back for The Wildcats

posted on 28 June 2011

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have suffered an injury blow with the news that Club Captain Glenn Morrison will be out of action for 6 weeks.

The Australian forward injured his hand in the first half of the game on Sunday and despite playing with a pain killer injection in the second half, a specialist has confirmed that the injury will need surgical repair. Morrison has fractured his little finger and has sustained tendon damage to his left hand and will be operated on tomorrow.

The skipper is very disappointed with the news, “I did the damage in the first half of the match on Sunday and I didn’t realise it was so bad, I was gutted when I found out I needed an op. Luckily, with the Challenge Cup fixtures we have coming up, I will hopefully only miss 3 or 4 games and will be back fighting fit before we know it.”

Everyone at the club would like to wish Glenn a speedy recovery!
