Players hold State of Origin fundraiser

The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats first team and coaching staff spent the morning at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium today.

The players and coaches enjoyed a team breakfast this morning and watched the highly anticipated State of Origin match – all in aid of raising money.

First team hooker Julien Rinaldi organised the event on the players day off to raise money for The Supporters Trust. A full spread was served including cereals, traditional english breakfast and kangaroo burgers in keeping with the Australian theme and then all the players sat down to enjoy the exciting State of Origin game live on Sky on the big screens in the 1873 suite!

Australian prop Jarrad Hickey commented, “It’s been a great morning, a really good team get together made all the more important with the donation back to the fans. The State of Origin is a massive event on the Aussie Rugby League calendar, but it’s a match that anyone who enjoys the game will love!”

The players are back in full training tomorrow and are all raring and ready to go for the match ahead against Harlequins RL on Saturday.
