The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats held their annual Scholarship Presentation Evening last night in The Cats Bar at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The evening was a huge success with a number of players recieving some fantastic awards and speeches were given by coaches Mark Moxon and Dave Winter, First Team Star Luke George, Chief Executive James Elston and Player Performance Manager John Kain.
Phil Seymour presented the occasion with Luke George on hand to distribute the awards. Both the Under 15?s and the Under 16?s were in attendance with a total of 6 awards given throughout the night.
Under 15?s Coach, Mark Moxon, gave the Under 15?s ‘Scholar of The Year’ award to winger/full back CJ Sutcliffe and the ‘Player of The Year’ award was given to Nick Gomersall for his impressive season at Stand Off. Brad Cook, who is at home playing both centre and second row, received the award for ‘Team Mate of The Year.
Under 16?s coach, Dave Winter, gave the Under 16?s ‘Scholar of The Year’ award to Back Rower Corbyn Kilday, who also picked up another award for ‘Team Mate of The Year’. ‘Player of The Year’ was given to impressive utility forward Dale Ferguson for his fantastic performances on the field this year.
Luke George gave an inspirational speech to the young scholars who have all shown a high level of skill, work ethic and determination this year and have demonstrated their maturity that will take them forward towards Super League level.
