The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats hosted a succesful first round of The Rugby League 9′s tournament last night at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
Over 600 supporters turned up at the event to see the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats win two of their three games.
The Wildcats set the evening off to a good start with a 17-4 victory in the opening game against Halifax RLFC. The Wildcats ended the evening on a high with their fixture against rivals Leeds Rhinos. The Wakefield team claimed a 18-12 victory over the fit looking, impressive young Leeds side and ruined their chances of a 100% win record for the evening.
