Dean of Wakefield Wins RL Doubles

posted on 11 July 2011

The Dean of Wakefield was the winner of the RL Doubles competition yesterday at The Wildcats versus Saint Helens game yesterday.

The Very Revd Jonathan Greener and his wife Pamela were enjoying the Wildcats hospitality when they found out they were the winners of the £100 prize.

The rugby league doubles game requires the winner to have a card with the correct first try scorers for both the home and away teams. Yesterday’s first try scorer for The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats was Left Centre Aaron Murphy and the first try scorer for Saint Helens was Full Back Kyle Eastmond.

The Dean of Wakefield and his wife Pamela had the correct card and collected their prize money straight after the game. This was the first Rugby League game that the couple had witnessed and they certainly left with a smile on their face. Mr and Mrs Greener had a great day and have assured us that they will be returning to watch another game as soon as possible.

This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
