The final of the Wildcats exciting singing competition ‘Wakefield’s Got Talent’ will be held on Saturday at the Castleford derby game at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The competition has now been narrowed down to just four, talented finalists who will be singing for the whopping £1000 prize this weekend.
Ebonie Preston, Amy Cunningham, Jamie Kelly and Leanne Crowther are the four lucky finalists that have competed in a number of heats over the past two months to get to this final stage. In the run up to the game, we will be featuring all the finalists each day to get to know a little bit more about them.
Yesterday we featured 13 year old Ebonie Preston and today we have spoken to Amy Cunningham.
Amy is 17 years old and enjoys running, dancing, singing, acting and performing as much as she can. Amy specialises in Musical Theatre and has performed pieces from the show ‘Wicked’ and has stormed her way into the final with her unique, powerful voice.
When we caught up with Amy earlier on today she told us that her favourite artist was Beyonce and that she couldn’t wait for Saturday’s big final. She commented, “I will be over the moon if I won. I would spend the £1000 on university auditions to help me fulfill my dream of studying performing arts in London.”
“I’ve always wanted to perform on The West End and if I win this competition it would hopefully help me to get closer to realising my ambitions.”
To see Amy in action, along with the other three amazing finalists, make sure you get down to the game early on Saturday evening at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium. The singers will be performing from 3pm in both the Cats Bar and live on the pitch in front of thousands- come and chose your winner!
