Girls Get Sporty at Eastmoor Dragons

posted on 19 August 2011

The first girls only multi-sport activity camp took place on Wednesday at Eastmoor Dragons ARLFC.

Girls aged seven to nineteen took part in the event and all thoroughly enjoyed their day.

The camp was organised by Wakefield Wildcats Women and Girls Rugby League Development Officer. Throughout the day the girls participated in a variety of ball and team building activities, parachute games, cricket, football cricket and tag rugby activities.

Clare thought the day was a great success, “It was a fun, interactive day for all those involved. It was good to see the girls smiling and having fun in a healthy environment.”

Participant Helen Scales added “The camp at Eastmoor went very well and everybody seemed to enjoy it (including me!). Everyone joined in and had fun. Some activities were new to some of the girls but they all had a go and they all had the ability.”

If this activity day sounds like something you would enjoy, then book onto the next camp which is being held on Wednesday 24 August at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium 10-2pm!

If you are interested and would like to join in the fun then please contact Clare Marlow on 01924 211611 to book your place or email her at
