Leanne Crowther was crowned champion of Wakefield’s Got Talent 2011 on Saturday evening at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
Leanne beat off tough competition from three other talented contestants; Jamie Kelly, Amy Cunningham and Ebonie Preston who all performed brillliantly on the night.
Leanne’s version of ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone gave her the most votes and made her the winner of the whopping £1000 prize!
22 year old Leanne comes from Horbury in Wakefield and is a massive Wildcats fan. Having already purchased her tickets for ‘Celebrate Wakefield’ event on Tuesday September 13th, Leanne will no longer be a guest but an act that will be performing live on the night!
She is now looking forwward to preparing her set for the event and will be in rehearsals shortly for her live gig at The Bradford Bulls game on Friday September 9th, here at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium infront of thousands.
The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats would like to say a big well done to the other contestants Jamie and Amy and also give a special mention to Ebonie who is only 13 years old. All the finalists were outstanding and did The Wildcats and Wakefield proud!
