The competition has now been narrowed down to just four, talented finalists who will be singing for the whopping £1000 prize this weekend and the opportuniuty to perform infront of thousands at the final game of the season.
Ebonie Preston, Amy Cunningham, Jamie Kelly and Leanne Crowther are the four lucky finalists that have competed in a number of heats over the past two months to get to this final stage. In the run up to the game, we will be featuring all the finalists each day to get to know a little bit more about them.
Yesterday we featured Jamie Kelly and today we have caught up with our final contestant Leanne Crowther.
Leanne is our oldest contestant at 22 years old and comes from Horbury in Wakefield. She is a huge Wildcats supporter and has loved being a part of this competition. Not only is Leanne a talented singer, she is also a fantastic flutist and saxophonist.
When we discussed Leanne’s genre of music she told us, “I enjoy singing swing, jazz and big band music, I get my inspiration from artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone.”
“I can’t wait for the final tomorrow, I’ve really enjoyed getting this far and I hope that people like my voice and vote for me to win – it would mean the world to me!”
To see Leanne perform in the final tomorrow, along with the other three amazing finalists, make sure you get down to the game early on Saturday evening at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The singers will be performing from 3pm in the Cats Bar and then live on the pitch in front of thousands- come and chose your winner!
