The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Reserves picked up another superb victory on Saturday afternoon at The Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The youngsters claimed a convincing 54-18 win over local rivals Castleford Tigers with a second half display that left the away side stunned.
A total of 9 tries from The Wildcats, from Lucas Walshaw, Adam Slater, Michael Korkidas, two from Andy Tate and two from Liam Kaye cemented the victory and propelled the boys up a spot in the league.
The first half was a close fought battle with both sides tying at 12 points a piece after 30 minutes. 2 Wildcats tries in two minutes put the home side in front as the half time hooter blew at 24 points to 12.
The second half saw only one touch down from The Tigers, capping their total points for the game at 18. A fantastic run of tries from Wakefield saw them run away with the win with final score standing at 54 points to 18 in the Wildcats’ favour.
