The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are in full support of the 2011 Sandal Castle 10K.
The 10 kilometre race, that takes place on Sunday 11th September, will raise money for an incredibly worthy local charity, Wakefield Hospice.
Wakefield Hospice is a purpose-built specialist palliative care unit that opened in April 1990 providing 8 single ensuite bedrooms and 2 four bed ward areas, a Day Care Unit for 16 patients, bereavement support and education.
The race will start and finish at Pugneys Country Park and will take you on a scenic one lap course within Pugneys and visiting the 12th Century Sandal Castle. 95% of the course is off-road and people from all walks of life, varying from different levels of experience and ability are more than welcome to take part and raise money for the hospice.
The Wildcats are encouraging our supporters to register to take part in the race on Sunday and help raise money for such a fantastic cause. To download an entry form and for more information on the race and the day itself including start times, clothing and races available visit www.wakefieldhospice.org.
Wildcats Commercial Manager Martin Hopkins commented, “This is a great family event that raises money for such a worthwhile, local cause. I’m really pleased that we here at The Wildcats are supporting the event and we are happy to help out in any way. I hope the event is a huge success for the Hospice and that a large amount of money is raised.”
Good Luck to all the runners this weekend!
