The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce Richard Agar’s first signing at the club that will be joining him at The Wildcats for the 2012 season.
Dean Collis has signed a three year deal with the club that will see him play in the Red, White and Blue until 2014.
The 25 year old centre joins the Wildcats from the NRL after just finishing a two year spell at the Cronulla Sharks. Before playing for the Sharks, Dean or Deano as he is known to his team mates, spent 6 years at Wests Tigers making 24 touch downs.
Dean earned himself representative honours in 2007 when he was picked for the City Origin team. Predominantly playing in the centre, Collis is well known for his great skill with ball in hand before the line or through the line and his experience and professionalism will prove a key asset to the Wildcats squad over the next three seasons.
On signing the talented centre Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston commented, “We are delighted with Richard’s capture of Dean for the next three years.”
“He has been a regular feature in the NRL over the past eight years and this experience will provide a great boost to our side. Dean’s enthusiasm and determination to succeed in Super League is very clear and we can’t wait to see him in action out on the field for Wakefield.”
Dean Collis added, “I’m really happy to have signed at Wakefield and be playing in Super League. I’m excited for the new challenge and I just can’t wait to get over there now.”
“I’m looking forward to being a part of something new at the club and I hope I can prove myself to the club and its spectators.”
This is Wakefield. Together We Are Stronger.
