The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are pleased to welcome a new member of staff to the team.
Jonny Wootton is the new Membership Manager at the club and will focus on developing and managing our Club 1873 membership scheme and taking it to the next level.
Jonny joins the Wildcats with a wealth of sporting and business knowledge behind him. After a successful career in journalism, including posts as the Sports Editor at Sky and roles at both the Press Association and Sporting Life, Jonny progressed to work in the Marketing and Sales sector and also spent some time as an agent for a number of professional athletes.
With such an experienced background, Jonny will be a great asset to the team and is comitted to developing the membership at the club.
General Manager Davide Longo is delighted with the recruitment, “We are extremely happy that we have recruited somebody of Jonny’s calibre. He will bring a vast amount of sales experience and knowledge to the club and this will support the successful achievement that Club 1873 has gained since the inception in May 2011.”
“Jonny is a local lad and a Wakefield Trinity Wildcats supporter , he brings an infectious passion to the role that this club and position requires.”
Jonny added, “I have always had a massive passion for youth development in sport and the fact that all the money raised through Club 1873 will go directly into this area was a huge pull for me.”
“As soon as I met Davide Longo to discuss the position it became clear that we had the same ideas as to how we could make Club 1873 a massive success and that is exactly what we are now going to do.”
On behalf of everyone at the club we would like to warmly welcome Jonny to The Wildcats!
