The Wildcats are giving children the chance to experience a day in the life of a Super League player.
On Tuesday 25th October the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Community team and the Youth Development team are teaming up to put on a ‘Be a pro for a day’ event at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
The day is intended to give the individuals a glimpse into what it means to be a full time professional rugby player and what a day in the life of a full time pro is like. During the day attendees will be subject to: on the pitch training session; gym technique; video analysis and performance critique; information on re-hab and injury prevention; along with a discussion about how you can become an elite player by progressing through the elite player pathway.
Alongside community staff, there will be sessions lead by Head of Youth Performance Tony Drury and Player Performance Manager John Kain with additional support from 1st team physio Simon Wray.
The day is open to anyone who is in the under 14’s age group (School year 9) and is FREE OF CHARGE, however places are limited, so if you want to take advantage of the chance to be exposed to a professional environment then make sure you reserve your place as early as possible.
Sessions will take place inside and out so please make sure you wear appropriate attire and bring a drinks bottle with you.
Lunch will be provided by Brakes Catering company.
If you would like further information on the day or would like to book a place for either yourself or your child please contact Richard Cattley on firstname.lastname@example.org or call the community department on 01924 211611.
