Steve Southern will give his first interview since arriving in the UK at this Saturday’s Season Launch event.

Steve Southern is welcomed to the Wildcats by Chairman, Andrew Glover on Tuesday

The former Newcastle Knights and North Queensland Cowboy touched down on British soil on Tuesday and is set to join his new teammates for pre-season training in the remainder of this week ahead of meeting fans on Saturday.

Only 250 fans have been lucky enough to secure tickets for the event at Navigation Walk on the Waterfront and will be the first to exclusively hear from the new arrival plus interviews with a host of new players and Head Coach Richard Agar.

All of the first team squad will be in attendance, many of whom taking part in a fashion show to model the new range of official Macron merchandise, whilst Daddy Cool will as always be providing great entertainment for all the young Wildcats.

Wakefield’s Got Talent winner Leanne Crowther will open Saturday’s event alongside the Wildcat Dolls and there’s the chance for you to put questions to Chairman, Andrew Glover and Chief Executive, James Elston.

If you have a question for either of the men in charge at the Wildcats then you can tweet it to @WTWildcatsRL and some of the best will be put to Glover and Elston on Saturday.

The Community Trust team will be launching their 2012 Easter Camps and there will be the first chance to buy one of the limited edition Wildcats Toblerone bars.

The limited edition Wildcats Toblerone will be available for the first time this Saturday.

It will also be the first chance to buy the Wildcats 2012 calendar and collect the autographs of the new members of the squad in the new autograph books in stock from Saturday.

You’ll be able to pick up a bargain on our retail stall and if you’re still yet to take advantage of the early bird prices then you can get your Gold Membership for Super League XVII.

With some members of the squad still to arrive for pre-season, Head Coach Richard Agar has delayed the announcement of his captain – that was due to take place at the season launch – until a later date.

Agar wants to assess his entire squad before choosing the man who will lead the club into an exciting new era in 2012.

Tim Smith and Dean Collis are the two players awaiting the necessary paperwork to join up with the squad.

Supporters are reminded that the season launch is a ticket only event and all tickets have been sold out for over a week.

Navigation Walk is located on the Waterfront, with a map available HERE

Car parking is available opposite the front entrance of the Waterfront apartments, with the entrance to Navigation Walk found by walking down the right hand side of the Waterfront apartments and turning left.

Doors open at 10.30am.
