Engage Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos will return to action against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at Headingley Carnegie on Boxing Day in the newly named Heatshot Festive Challenge.
The game on 26th December will kick off at 11.30am, with new signings and former Wildcats Richard Moore and Darrell Griffin both expected to feature for the Champions for the first time. For Wakefield’s new Head Coach Richard Agar, it will be his first game in charge of the Wildcats since his close season move from Hull FC.
The game will be sponsored by local Yorkshire company Heatshot Limited. Heatshot is a unique windscreen washer fluid heating system that heats the water before it reaches the nozzles. Heatshot unblocks frozen washer nozzles and clears a frozen windscreen within 90 seconds.
It also enables you to use your washers more effectively while driving in sub-zero conditions. Rhinos stars Kevin Sinfield and Keith Senior both use the Heatshot system on their cars to help banish the winter blues on freezing mornings.
Heatshot have agreed a three year contract to sponsor the traditional Boxing Day fixture and Heatshot Marketing Director Simon Young is delighted to be involved with the Champions.
He commented: “We are proud to support the Festive Challenge game and, as local lads, we are very much looking forward to seeing the Rhinos clash with Wakefield.
“We are a young Yorkshire company who are looking to expand across the UK and Europe and we have already secured an Exclusive distributor in England and Wales through automotive-innovations.co.uk.
“We are all very proud of our Yorkshire roots, and the chance to support such an event. I can think of no better time to be involved with the Champions and we are very much looking forward to the game.”
Leeds Rugby Commercial Director Rob Oates added: “We are very pleased to have Heatshot on board as sponsors for the Festive Challenge. The game is always a fantastic family occasion and this is a fantastic introduction for Heatshot to our supporters.”
