The first arrival of the new Wildcats overseas signings has landed in the UK earlier today.

New recruit Isaac John is greeted by Andrew Glover and James Elston as he lands at Manchester Airport this morning

New Wildcats recruit, Isaac John, landed at Manchester Airport this lunchtime and was greeted by club Chairman Andrew Glover and Chief Executive James Elston.

After a gruelling 30 hour journey, John, who joins Wakefield from NRL side New Zealand Warriors, finally arrived in Wakefield this afternoon. Wasting no time, the 22 year old half-back got dropped straight off at the team lunch to meet his fellow team mates and of course his new head coach.

John, who is sponsored by corporate partners FleetMaster, then headed for a brief visit to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium to see the team ‘sheds’, meet a few staff members and have a quick catch up with Richard Agar. After a weekend of settling in to his new surroundings, the new Kiwi, who is eager to get started, will turn up for training with the squad on Monday where he will be speaking exclusively to Wildcats TV.

Fellow overseas recruit, Steve Southern, will be the next new Wildcat to land in the UK with a flight scheduled to arrive on Tuesday next week. Keep your eye out on the Wildcats website for the latest interviews and photos with our new signings.
