New Wildcats Assistant Coach, James Webster has praised the training facilities the club has secured as the squad prepares for Super League XVII.
Webster was Assistant to Wildcats Head Coach Richard Agar at Hull FC, and is now part of the new coaching setup at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium that also includes former Trinity skipper Glenn Morrison and Strength and Conditioner, Martin Clawson.
The squad and coaching staff have been working hard in the opening few weeks of pre-season utilising facilities at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in particular for much of the teams field work, with Webster impressed with the training pitches.
Speaking exclusively to Wildcats TV, the former Hull KR captain said: “I’ve found the facilities really good and we’ve got a new bunch of guys together that are slowly being drip fed into the system.
“I think we’ve got a good, honest bunch of players that will only improve as the season goes on.
“I think it (QEGS) is outstanding, especially for wet weather training where you find it’s really hard to get good surfaces during the winter.
“We’ve been there two or three times a week and the level of service we get from the ground staff is fantastic and I think the boys appreciate being able to train on a really good surface.”
