“The competition so far up to the finals has been a tremendous success,” said BARLA Youth Chair, Carole Land.

“BARLA are really pleased with the way that the competition has unfolded, we are also very pleased to be welcomed down to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium by Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.”

“We are aware that for most of the competing players and teams it will be their first crack at a major title and BARLA will be doing its upmost to give everyone concerned a day out to remember.

“The early indications that BARLA have had is that both days will be very well supported and with twelve different clubs competing in the seven finals, I am sharing the clubs’ excitement which is surrounding the whole event.”

Mark Winder, Director of Education for the Wildcats was pleased the club could be involved in a major date in the amateur rugby league calendar.

“Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and the Community Trust are committed to making young people reach their full potential.

“Wakefield Trinity Wildcats supporting the weekend is a small part on our behalf, but it will make the young people’s memories of the competition all the more special.

“Many great players from the past 100 years have played on this pitch at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium and the one that immediately springs to mind is our very own Neil Fox, the reigning world record points scorer.

“I sincerely hope that we are seeing some more great players of the future on show, however the most important thing is that the young people playing are doing something positive with their spare time and laying the foundations to a healthy and successful lifestyle.”

Kieran Montgomery, the Managing Director of sponsors Key Security threw his company’s weight behind the event and added: “Key Security are proud to be associated with the BARLA Youth and Junior Cups.

“Our growing relationship with Rugby League in the Yorkshire region is fantastic and it is a great opportunity to support an event that will be showcasing some of the future stars of Super League.”

Entry is just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions per day with the Trinity Bar open throughout serving bacon sandwiches each morning, hot and cold food throughout the day and the bar will also be open serving, amongst others, the popular Wildcats Ale.

All post-match presentations will also take place in the Trinity Bar, making it a great place to enjoy all the action.
