The Wildcat Dolls added some extra Christmas sparkle to last week’s Annual Dinner which raised £36,000 for the charity.
Super League’s number one dance team have regularly supported Wooden Spoon , a children’s charity that is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people across the British Isles live happier, richer lives by harnessing the spirit and values of rugby to give disadvantaged children and young people a chance to achieve their full potential in life.
The Dolls were on hand to help sell raffle tickets, assist with the auction and to encourage people to sign up to be members of the charity helping to raise the fantastic total.
The girls met up with former Test cricket umpire, Dickie Bird MBE who was the special guest speaker at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.
Wooden Spoon proudly comprise over 40 regional volunteer committees, a central national team and over 10,000 members. All regional committees undertake many local fundraising activities and only spend the money raised on projects in their local community.
The Dolls will be involved in one such regional event in York next February.
