m2r JOB HUNTING WORKSHOP SUCCESS

posted on 12 December 2011

M2R, official recruitment partners of the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, gave job seekers a helping hand last week as they held their first, free job hunting workshop at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.

12 delegates attended the free m2r job hunting workshop at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium last week!

The event was a resounding success with 12  job seekers in attendance and an abundance of positive feedback once the session was complete.

The global recruitment firm offered help and advice to the attendees regarding CV preparation, interview techniques and job searching throughout a three hour workshop in the Wildcats Learning Zone, lead by M2R’s Louise Goody. The delegates all left with an information pack and were given the opportunity to stay behind and go through their own CV with a recruitment specialist.

One attendee caught up with Wildcats TV after the event and spoke about the success of the morning. “I’ve had a great time and really feel that I’m leaving with more knowledge and some sound advice.

“After being out of work for seven weeks I can definitely say that, thanks to the workshop, I now feel more confident in applying for jobs and I’ve learnt better ways in how to look for the right line of work. I’d like to thank Louise for all her help.”

M2R Managing Director, Munir Mamujee, added: “I am delighted that we have been able to make a difference and give a number of job hunters within the Wakefield district a more positive outlook.

“I thank every one of the delegates for attending and also Louise Goody for hosting and delivering the event. I look forward to hearing the success stories in the New Year.

“We are already planning a further workshop and look forward to continued support from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.”

After only five days since the job hunting workshop was held at the stadium, the Wildcats and m2r are delighted to announce that one attendee has been successful in finding employment. When speaking to m2r, Jessica Ong, explained that over 300 applicants applied for the job and she was given the role due to her new found interview confidence that she gained from the workshop.

Well done Jessica from everyone at the Wildcats and m2r!
