Winger Peter Fox is expecting a tough test from former club Hull KR when the Robins visit the Rapid Solicitors Stadium on Sunday (kick-off: 3.30pm).
Fox enjoyed four years at Craven Park and was top try scorer in three of his first four seasons before returning to the Wildcats for 2012 and opening his campaign with a brace against Widnes Vikings last weekend.
Having been part of the Rovers squad that earned a top four place and a play-off victory during his time at the club, the England international knows what to expect from some of his former teammates.
“Obviously being there four years I know it’s going to be a big game and they know how I play,” said Fox.
“It’s going to be a tough one for me personally and I’m looking forward to the challenge.
“I don’t think I’ve got a point to prove. It didn’t go well last year for whatever reason.
“The team didn’t go well, I wasn’t happy for one reason or another but the good news is I’m happy now and really enjoying it here at Wakefield.
“The three years were really good times but obviously last year I didn’t play much. There was a lot of pressure on the club, a lot of pressure on Justin Morgan and it probably reflected on our performances.
“I’ve moved on to Wakefield and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.”
