MEDIA WATCH: RALEIGH’S FOCUS SWITCHES TO BLACK AND WHITES

posted on 28 February 2012

Wildcats prop Andy Raleigh says focus has instantly switched to Hull FC this coming Sunday and righting the wrongs of last weekend’s defeat to Bradford Bulls.

Andy Raleigh says frustration was the overwhelming feeling amongst the squad after defeat to the Bulls.

Speaking in today’s Yorkshire Post, Raleigh says frustration is the overwhelming feeling within the squad and who are under no illusions that they should have done much better against the Bulls.

“I think in patches we were good and we started well by getting the first points on the board, but it’s frustrating,” Raleigh told the Yorkshire Post.

“We know we should have done better, that’s the overall feeling.

“We managed to get over the try line a few times and they mainly scored from kicks – they only got over the line with ball in hand once.

“It is frustrating because those are the games we need to win.

“Some of our attacking stuff is good.

“The message at half time was ‘when we get in their half we are looking dangerous. We just need to make sure we get in there more and stay in there’.”

That’s the mantra the Wildcats will be looking to put into practise for the visit to Humberside where the hosts are also looking to respond to a defeat last time out.

“They have been playing well. They are always tough and every game is going to be a tough game in Super League.

“There’s no point worrying about what happened on Saturday, that one has gone. We need to focus on getting things right, work on the things we did well and look forward to this week.”
