With the new rugby league season underway, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats has captured the signing of a major player with vast experience, Peter’s Pies.
The club has joined British sport’s upper crust by signing an exclusive deal with the leading pie supplier for the forthcoming season.
The Wildcats will be joining an elite band of over 50 top football, cricket and rugby union clubs, including Swansea City, Sheffield United, West Ham and Birmingham City in football, Cardiff Blues and London Wasps in rugby union and Somerset in cricket’s County Championship whose fans can enjoy Peter’s Pies on match days.
Trinity have selected three flavours from the Peter’s Pies menu, supplying 220g Meat and Potato, Steak and Kidney, and Chicken and Mushroom, which will be supplied exclusively over the next two years to their fans. Peter’s hope to feed over 20,000 fans per season
Martin Hopkins, Wildcats Commercial Manager, said: “Tucking into a decent pie at the game is an integral part of rugby league tradition. By supplying this top quality product we will be enhancing the fans’ match day experience at the stadium.”
“We plan to have vendors walking round the ground with heated bags containing the pies so that fans can buy them without missing any of the match action.”
