Wakefield Wildcats will be running a Touch Rugby referee’s course at Rapid Solicitors Stadium on the evening of Wednesday 21st March.
Touch Rugby League is a fast, skilful and action packed team sport played in a fun and social atmosphere, without any of the tackling you see in a traditional game of Rugby League.
It’s a great social game and most importantly it is really good fun! Why workout when you can play, as Touch Rugby League is a great way to improve fitness, agility and movement without having to be a member of the gym.
All of these benefits can be achieved as a player but also through being a referee as well. By taking part in our referee’s course you will be qualified to officiate at any of the many touch rugby events held around the city.
Touch Rugby is the fastest growing version of the sport and more and more people are playing each year. It makes sense that the more players we have, the more officials we’ll need! As well as keeping fit and the social side of things, it’s also a great way to pick up some extra cash along the way!!
So if you’re looking to keep fit through an enjoyable team sport or if you just want to gain a better understanding of the rules and regulations of touch rugby then why not give it a try!
The course is recommended to anyone who has an interest in Touch Rugby as either a player or a referee, as you will gain insight into what it takes to be an official and will give you a better understanding of the game.
