Richard Mathers is expecting a typically challenging trip to London to face the Broncos tonight.
Mathers and his teammates got the win their recent performances have deserved against Catalan Dragons last time out and will face a team below them in the league standings for the first time in 2012.
But Mathers was quick to point out that the Broncos are in a similar position to the Wildcats and there can be no taking them lightly on Saturday.
“Every week’s equal. You’ve got to treat every team on their merits,” said Mathers.
“It doesn’t matter who is in front of us, we’re just looking to hit some targets within our group of what we expect of ourselves and hopefully the scoreboard will take care of itself if we address those things.
“They gave Cas a towling up down there so that shows the quality they’ve got down there. They’re very similar to ourselves and have been improving week-on-week so it will be a good challenge.
“They’ve got some former internationals who are playing well for them and it’s always a challenge going down to London so I expect it to be no different on Saturday.”
The on-loan full-back said last week’s victory was a good confidence boost for the squad but now it is all about consistency.
“I think it was important that we got a win last weekend to give us some confidence in what we’ve been doing,” said Mathers.
“We’ve been coming up with some half decent performances but not getting the wins.
“To get the win is good and we want to build on that but not get carried away with ourselves. It’s only one win and we just need to get some consistency together.
“We’ve had quite a tough moment with the opponents we’ve had and improved week-on-week. But improvement doesn’t necessarily get you the two points every game and it was important that we did and now we want to string a few wins together and climb up that table.”
