Ben Cockayne says the mood in the camp is still a positive one despite the Wildcats run of form over the Easter period.

Ben Cockayne says the mood in the camp has never faltered.

After impressing against Catalan Dragons and picking up a fully deserved win, the Wildcats have suffered four successive defeats conceding more than 30 points on each occasion.

And whilst Cockayne concedes the players have had tough days with those results, they have remained positive in looking to get back to winning ways.

“We’ve not been playing the best the last few weeks and we’ve certainly not put two halves together,” he said.

“We’re looking to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

“Since the Catalan game we’ve had a massive dip.

“We’ve shown what we can do up to that game so hopefully we can get that back this week, kick-on and get on a little run.

“The mood in the camp has never faltered really.  There have been days where we have been down because we know we have thrown away opportunities where we could have done better than we have done.

“Just like anything, when you’re up, you’re up and when you’re down, you’re down.

“But we’ve ripped in this week, had a good bash up on Tuesday and got stuck into each other.  Hopefully that can put us in good stead for Saturday.”
