Wakefield Wildcats head coach Richard Agar has made one change to his 19-man squad for Mondays clash with Leeds at Headingley as Frankie Mariano replaces Danny Kirmond.

Richard Agar has made just one enforced change to his 19-man squad.

The new captain damaged his cheekbone and eye socket in the victory over London Broncos which forced him to sit-out the dramatic win over Hull FC but Agar says Kirmond will not be out for too much longer.

“Danny is expected to be out for three weeks since original diagnosis so he will be missing again. Apart from that we came through with a clean bill of health from last week so I wouldn’t envisage too many changes to the team we put out this week.

“We have had a normal weeks training and the boys have been sharp. As you would expect they have a fair amount of buoyancy after the performance and the win we got at the weekend.

“We are in a good frame of mind so it’s been a good week’s preparation and we can keep the 19 that went into the game last weekend minus Danny.”

That means academy products Kyle Trout and Lucas Walshaw retain their place in the squad after playing their part in the Wildcats sixth victory of the season against the Airlie Birds.

The squad in full is:

1. Richard MATHERS

2. Peter FOX

3. Dean COLLIS

4. Vince MELLARS

6. Isaac JOHN

7. Kyle WOOD

8. Oliver WILKES

10. Andy RALEIGH

12. Steve SOUTHERN

14. Paul AITON

15. Kyle AMOR

19. Frankie MARIANO

20. Tim SMITH

22. Kyle TROUT

33. Lucas WALSHAW

34. Paul SYKES
