AGAR NAMES 19-MAN SQUAD

posted on 28 July 2012

Wildcats head coach Richard Agar has made just one change to his  19-man squad with Isaac John coming in to replace the suspended Ali Lauitiiti.

Richard Agar praised his teams performance in earning a derby win over Huddersfield Giants.

The former New Zealand international entered an early guilty plea to the RFL charge of using his knees in a tackle against Huddersfield Giants and was given a one-match ban.

Trinity are still without Vince Mellars, Steve Southern and Paul Aiton through injury although Agar revealed there is encouraging news around the Wildcats hooker.

“Paul’s been in this week and he’s feeling a lot better despite losing a bit of weight,” said Agar.

“His girlfriend has come over Australia and after the initial period of being down and shaken up he now has a smile on his face and his jaw is feeling better.  They have said when he goes back for the wire taken out it could possibly be speeded up.

“Vince Mellars has had his eye injury and Steve Southern is making slow progress from his ankle injury.”
