Wildcats head coach Richard Agar has made just one change to his 19-man squad from the 31-30 victory over Hull KR two weeks ago ahead of the crunch clash with Widnes Vikings on Sunday evening (kick-off: 6.45pm).

Richard Agar has named his squad for the crucial home clash against Widnes Vikings.

Trinity’s Super League ever presents Peter Fox, Danny Washbrook and Kyle Wood are set to continue their run leading into the penultimate league fixture of the season after having a week off. Agar himself says the rest was needed at this stage of the season.

Matt James has come into the squad in place of youngster Danny Cowling in the only change from the squad named ahead of the win over Rovers.

“I think last week enabled us to back off a couple of guys and give them the required rest and let one or two bumps and bruises come out of them,” said Agar.

“It also gave us opportunity to work and refresh on a couple of things that we needed to and we haven’t touched on in a while with not having a game. We had a good weekend off and we trained as usual this week and obviously everybody is looking forward to this weekend and we have practiced really sharply,” said Agar.

The 19-man squad in full is:

1. Richard Mathers

2. Peter Fox

3. Dean Collis

5. Ben Cockayne

6. Isaac John

7. Kyle Wood

8. Oliver Wilkes

9. Andy Ellis

10. Andy Raleigh

11. Ali Lauitiiti

13. Danny Washbrook

15. Kyle Amor

16. Paul Johnson

17. Danny Kirmond (c)

19. Frankie Mariano

20. Tim Smith

25. Matt James

34. Paul Sykes

35. Lee Smith
